The Leonardo

I am a book nerd, a travel nerd, and really I just love to learn about pretty much everything I can. When a photowalk was announced for The Leonardo, I jumped at the chance to attend.

If you haven't been out to The Leonardo in Downtown SLC, you should get yourself there ASAP. There is so much to explore and learn about there, and I spent hours taking photos and learning about Utah, prosthetic limbs, stop motion animation, and making crafty things in the Lab. This was amazing for both kids and adults.

I spent most of my time with the Hylozoic Veil - it is completely fascinating. It responds to your presence, yet it is an inanimate object. Art and science coming together in a completely amazing way.

The also have a fabulous exhibit about the Human Rights Movement that was just beautiful. Its all images, and not hands-on interactive, but it is profound and moving nonetheless.

Bottom line, The Leonardo - go there!! I will definitely be returning again.

Dreaming Of Warmer Days

I was trying to come up with a fun and witty story to tell you today, but...no such luck. I have had a crazy busy week so far and I have a bag case of spring fever! It has made accomplishing much of anything difficult. So, until next time enjoy these fun family photos from last fall!

Images from a workshop with my friends Wendy and Tyler from Bluelily.

Oh, Winter Where Art Thou?

So, about Winter. It seems to be suffering from a case of stage-fright this year. While I am not entirely complaining, I do wish it would make an appearance. I love the beauty of white-dusted landscapes. Oh, well. Until Winter decides when/if it wants to join us, I will continue to enjoy this weird Spring-like weather and ice skating in my driveway.

Toni and Anna

I had a fun shoot last week with some family friends and it was a blast! They were getting pictures taken as a gift for their husband/dad, such a cute idea!! I loved every minute of the time we spent together.

D&M Engagements

Check out my cute cousin and his soon-to-be wife! I had such a good time hanging out with them and getting to take these pictures! I loved being able to incorporate the things that they like to do together and just capture them and how in love they are!
